ABC Checks Into Clive Barker's Hotel

As we told you just a couple of days ago (previous story here), a number of television networks have been vying for Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton's pilot script for "Clive Barker's Hotel." It now appears that ABC has emerged on top of the fray.

Two Clips from Eastwick

We know you're excited about "Eastwick". Why, I'm sure the first thing you do when you go online is scour the Web looking for slivers of witchy goodness! Well, scour no more! We've got your fix right here. Don't blame us for the nasty after-taste and lingering side effects!

Promo Trailers for V, Eastwick, Happy Town

ABC just announced its new programming for the fall schedule, as well as a few mid-season replacement series for early 2010. Three of these new shows may be of interest to genre fans: "Eastwick" (or as I have already dubbed it, "Desperate Housewitches"), Happy Town ("Northern Exposure" meets "Twin Peaks"), and the jumpsuit-less remake of "V". Have a look at the promo trailers for all three.

ABC Picks Up Eastwick

ABC appears poised to enter the genre game with the announcement that the network is giving "Eastwick" a chance to advance from pilot to full-fledged series.

Rebecca Romijn Cast in Eastwick

Well, first she was an uber-hot X-Men villainess as Mystique which gave comics geeks a chance to drool. Now, Rebecca Romijn is set to become a witch for a new ABC pilot so genre fans, while I can guarantee she most likely won’t be blue and naked for this new endeavor, I am sure she’ll retain her hotness.

The Warlocks of Eastwick? Not Really.

Well, the first men in the small screen rendition of The Witches of Eastwick have been cast to deal with all the copious amounts of magical estrogen that will no doubt be flowing through the series' veins. Joining the cast are Johann Urb (2012) and Jon Bernthal (Night at the Museum).

Nutter Confirmed for "Eastwick" Pilot

This morning’s Variety confirmed what we’ve been hearing rumblings about for a while now: Veteran TV director David Nuttter is attached to helm the pilot episode for the proposed “Witches of Eastwick” series for ABC.

ABC Asking for More V

For some reason ABC is again handing out the orders for a new look at the “V” series from the mid-80’s, which is news we last reported on back in October. The network has now given a “pilot order” to the new version, penned by Scott Peters, according to THR.

ABC Preps New V

Yeah, yeah, I guess you could say that “V” is about as sci-fi as you can get, but ask anyone who watched the original mini-series on TV when they were a kid, like I did, and you’ll understand why it’s got horror cred. Fucking freaky lizard people, man!

Witches of Eastwick Headed to Small Screen?

I suppose it was inevitable that The Witches of Eastwick would find its way back in front of our eyeballs at some point. The original is a pretty damn good film, and whenever that happens, there’s always someone in Hollywood looking to sequelize and/or remake it.

Bowman Pilots a Castle for ABC

Having just finished watching the brilliant British show “Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace”, I can’t help but chuckle a bit at this idea: Variety got word that Rob (Reign of Fire, The X-Files) Bowman is set to direct the pilot episode of a new ABC series called “Castle” about a horror novelist who consults for the NYPD.
