When Quentin Tarantino refers to a film as being the best of the year, I'd advise you to listen. That's precisely the praise he recently bestowed upon Big Bad Wolves (review), a critically-acclaimed Israeli revenge thriller that hits theaters in the UK on December 6th.
Just a few days after finding out that Wilmer Valderrama has joined the cast of "From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series," playing the role of an enigmatic crime lord named Carlos, the actor posted a photo on his Instagram account, teasing that production is officially under way on the series.
It's taken a few episodes to find its footing, but Daniel Knauf's recent spin on "Dracula" has finally come into its own, making for some great TV with a classic character. Universal is obviously pleased as well because they're ready to let Knauf sink his claws into another of their iconic characters.
While I respect its place in pop culture, the anime/manga art style just does nothing for me. The huge heads, big eyes, and small mouths thing is just too cute for my liking, but even I will admit that this batch is kind of cool.
I've never been the biggest fan of Italian Giallo flicks, but one thing I will say about them is that they always seem to have the coolest titles. Hélène Cattet and Bruno Forzani (Amer) channel the spirit of Argento with their latest film, which boasts a title ripped straight out of the era.
The first TV spot for Frankenworld... errr... we mean I, Frankenstein has hit the interwebs, and it's here to defend you until the bitter end... followed by several sequels that will hopefully all get progressively better until they throw out all the mythology for a fight with a mega-werewolf.
