Grudge 3 Looking for Ghosts

Now we can really begin to see just how weird it’s going to be to have a third Grudge film that’s not being directed by Takashi Shimizu: Neither Takako Fuji nor Yuya Ozeki will be returning for Toby Wilkin’s The Grudge 3

Dimension Grabs Hill's Locke & Key

Usually I'm not thrilled when I hear about Dimension scooping up the rights for pretty much anything genre related, but I have to admit their output as of late has softened me a bit. So I'm actually happy they've got their hands on work from one of my faovrite new authors, Joe Hill.

Grindhouse. With Bunnies

You know the name Angry Alien by now, right? They're those weirdos who started doing 30-second re-enactments of our favorite movies with cartooon bunnies. They're brilliant, no? Now they've done a 60 (ish) second re-enactment of Grindhouse, complete with fake trailers! You should just click here to check it out cause it's pretty damn funny!

Von Trier's Antichrist Shoots in Summer!

The news/rumors about Lars Von Trier's Antichrist project have been coming and going for about two years now with no real solid evidence that the film would ever enter production (“The Antichrist to Rise?” – December 2007). Usually any news about it would be met with a grain of salt, but this time there's actually something to smile about.

Before the Oscars, They Belonged to Us

Yeah, they were up for an Oscar this year, but some of the nominees have monsters in their closets. A few on the list are respectable (Julie Christie in Don't Look Now) while others are downright Fangorian (Hal Holbrook in Creepshow). Mentioned among the departed: Bob Clark (Children Shouldn’t Play with Dead Things) and William Tuttle (Young Frankenstein, Mark of the Vampire) Best Actor: Michael Clayton George Clooney

Ever since I got to see an early screening copy of Larry Fessenden’s eco-horror masterpiece The Last Winter (review), I’ve been dying to find out when the film will finally hit DVD, considering its theatrical run was limited at best. Friday the 13th Redux Scouting Scout?

It’s not huge news but since it’s post-Oscar time in Hollywood there’s not a whole helluva lot going on this morning, so why not make mention of it? If nothing else I can make fun of Rob Zombie’s Halloween one more time...

Hellraiser Remake Writers Official

Mirrors Teaser Site Opens

Sometime last week an early teaser site for Alexandre Aja’s Mirrors, a remake of the 2003 Korean film Into the Mirror, found its way online. Though there’s not a helluva lot on there now, it’s a good sign that things are progressing with Mirrors even while talk of Aja’s Piranha redux is going on.
