Well, this weekend will see the second annual Fear Fest, in case you couldn’t tell by our constant screaming about it on every corner of the site, and to prepare for the debauchery that shall follow, we decided to have a nice, sane conversation about it.
Check out the horrific DVDs being offered up this Tuesday, March 4th, 2008...
Like love at first sight, the poster for Bio Slime had me at “hello”. Wow, what a beautiful thing that is, and you know what? The trailer only adds to the beauty!
You just try and tell me Doomsday doesn’t look like it’s going to be a shitload of fun when it hits theaters on March 14th. The biggest issue I see with it doing well is that no one really has anything to compare it to that’s been made in the last, say, 15 years. It’s post-apocalyptic and yet not, a horrific action film ... it's got some elements of 28 Days/Weeks Later but it's a different film altogether ... Gotta love it!
All right, another movie about organ harvesting! How can we ever get sick of this semi-trend in horror? Maybe the addition of Dermot Mulroney (Zodiac) to the cast of Run for Her Life will help us decide that the trend is officially dead? Man I hope not!
Though various projects have been mentioned over the years that would see a more horrific form of Frank L. Baum’s Oz come to the big screen, nothing’s ever come to fruition to date. Will the newly bought rights to the Caliber Comics title Dark Oz be among them?
Just a quick heads-up to everyone out there who’s looking forward to Fear Fest 2 next weekend as much as, or more than, we are: Pit of Horror's John Gray will be making an appearance tonight on Horror Movie Fans radio at 7PM PST to discuss the show, followed by Sean and Jonathan Lewis to talk about Black Devil Doll, which we’ll be showing exclusive clips from at Fear Fest 2!
When we gave you the update on the upcoming Night of the Demons remake the other day, I promised we’d have more info on Brain Dead, the latest film from original Demons director Kevin S. Tenney. And here it is!
I know you’re probably sick of seeing posters for The Ruins a full month before its release. We’ve already shown you three of ‘em to date, but I can’t help it; they’re all pretty cool so when a new one shows up, we have to mention it. Case in point: IMP Awards Just got a look at the international Ruins poster, which you can see below, so now we're showing you. That's called sharing.
It’s been a long time since we’ve had any updates on J.T. Mollner’s proposed slasher film I Scream Man (“I Scream Man Creator Talks!” – June 2007), and thanks to Sci Fi Wire this morning, we now know why.
Oh, man, never thought I’d actually want to live closer to Brussels, of all places, but this year’s lineup for the Brusesls International Fantastic Film Festival is pretty damn tasty!
Being a world traveler, I've had the pleasure of riding underground transit systems all over the globe, and I can safely say that each and every one of them left me with mental pictures that will haunt me for the rest of my life.
“NO! DON’T COME!” Ah… House of the Dead. How brilliant and trashy you were with your terrible English translations before Uwe Boll turned you into an awful film.
April is gonna be one loaded month as far as horror DVD releases are concerned. I've decided to spotlight ten random B-movie DVD (B-VDs?) releases hitting shelves in the month of April that might otherwise get lost in the shuffle once the April avalanche begins.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned from doing the horror DVD list every week, it’s that if you’re in high school or college and plan a weekend trip to anywhere that isn’t overpopulated, you better count on most of your crew getting offed. Everyone’s doing it now, including Chris (The Lost) Sivertson and Adam (Going to Pieces) Rockoff in their latest script, Wicked Lake.
