Del Toro & Uni Move on Hater

This morning it’s been officially confirmed via Variety that Universal has picked up David Moody’s 2006 novel Hater for film adaptation. Originally this was one of the many projects Guillermo del Toro was attached to direct before that little movie about hobbits took over his life.

It’s been a while since we’ve heard much about the forthcoming video game Hellboy: Science of Evil, so how’s about an update for you? And this time it’s coming from Butane, not that Plagiarize kid, cause that’s just how I roll, suckas. First up we got a stack of new screenshots from the game, which you can check out below. I got to see this baby in action at the recent New York Comic Con and it looked tres badass, let me tell you.

The Ruins' Fertile DVD

Whole Lotta Hellboy Posters!

While searching through the tubes, I saw that IMP Awards uploaded several new character posters for Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Guillermo del Toro's sequel that will hit theatres on July 11th, 2008. These new one-sheets are definitely going to catch more eyes than just floating heads!

UPDATE: Shutter Haunts the Summer on DVD

Nowadays it is difficult to get excited when a film has a header letting you know it is being brought to ya by the Executive Producers of The Ring and The Grudge. Anything that bears a brand like that from now on should be relabeled "The Newest Contestant for the 'Original Was Better' Prize".

UPDATE: It's Happening Beyond the States!

UPDATEInstead of running an entire new story about it, I've decided to throw in the second international poster for The Happening in here. We found this one over at MPA Awards.

In addition, they’ve also announced the order in which the first few episodes will air, and sadly it won’t be starting off with Stuart Gordon’s “Eater” as we had been told before.
