I have to admit with a cheeserific title like Lesbian Vampire Killers I didn’t expect anything too great, but the trailer recently released by Momentum Pictures is pretty damn fun, all things considered. Don’t take my word for it, though; feast your eyes on it below!
Though there’s not a lot of meat to it yet, the ghouls over at STYD got their hands on the log line for Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer 2, which is currently in the scripting stages with director Jon Knautz and star Trevor Matthews penning the screenplay.
I guess the first bit of news that should be mentioned from AICN’s interview with Martyrs director Pascal Laugier is that an American remake of Martyrs is already in the works. It is, of course, not surprising in the least considering how well received the film has been since its festival debut, but it's a little disappointing nonetheless.
Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't we mere days away from the start of 2009? Isn't it a little late in the game to be producing blatant knock-offs of the Alien movies?
Any fan of Fulci who’s gone past his zombie/hell films has probably heard of A Cat in the Brain, the 1990 experiment in which Fulci stars as himself in a twisted tale of a filmmaker driven by his creations. It’s never been available in any decent format here in the U.S. but come March 31st, 2009, Grindhouse Releasing plans to change all that.
Want to kick off the 2009 with some old school ass kicking? Then you NEED to check out our bounty of images of the new Predator collectible figures!
Though they may take a very, very long time to get the films out there, you really can’t deny that it’s more than worth the wait for anything Synapse Films does these days. Their years-in-the-making DVD of Home Sick is the latest example, and recently president Don May, Jr. talked about two more upcoming releases that I’m sure will prove my point.
The freaks over at Twitch Film got their greasy, grimy hands on the first trailer for Mutants, the feature debut David Morley, and looks really, really cool. The story puts a new spin on zombies, making the transformation to one take a very long time thus forcing a person to watch their companion rot away, which adds a disturbing new elementto the proceedings.
Ack, college kids. Celebrating. Maniac killer. What more do you need to know about Kill Theory to make it sound more uninteresting? Hopefully Chris Moore did something fresh, or at least fun, with his debut, which has been in the wings for months now.
The big day is here! The day you wake up in heated anticipation, already sweating with worry that your wife/girlfriend/mother/sister (hopefully not all the same person) will love what you got for them, anxious to see that look in their eyes the moment they find that you’ve bestowed them with...
Did you really think we'd let the holiday season come and go without at least one more edition of Dinner for Fiends? Well, maybe. There is jack-shit goin' on horror-wise but we delivered anyways!
It is said that, back in the days before photography was a mainstay of the world at large, early practitioners of the art attempted to use a form of it to capture human souls. Of course, the only time the soul could be captured was when it was leaving its host body, and the only way that could happen is death, so said practitioners were not what one would call well regarded.
I know I’m about as sick as I can be of Tim Burton and his works, one of the reasons I’m not looking forward to Alice in Wonderland, but in this case he only served as a producer, alongside Night/Day Watch helmer Timur Bekmambetov, and the result is more than worth paying attention to.
The very cool guys behind the upcoming indie feature Brainjacked just dropped the official trailer for the film in our laps as an early Christmas present to gore fans everywhere!
I’ve been waiting for something to see from the upcoming animated film Monsters Vs. Aliens since the first word came down on the film, but information has been slow in the coming, to say the least. Finally a trailer has arrived, and thankfully it was worth the wait!
