Fabrice du Welz Going to War

Back in 2004 a little Belgian movie with the strange title of Calvaire hit the festival circuit before going straight to DVD here in the States. Now, I don't know about you, but that film was SO disturbing to me on so many levels: the Penguin Dance, the village with no women, the innkeeper Bartel and his obvious confusion when itinerant entertainer Marc Stevens shows up on his doorstep a few days before Christmas. Or you can wait another year for the Syfy Channel version Bryan Singer has in the works.

Doors open at 7:00 pm (as does the wine and micro-brew bar) and admission is $7 – not a bad price to find out “Who Guards the Lifeguards?” (as the film’s tag-line questions).

Hellbound Hearts Pays Homage to Clive Barker

Hellbound Hearts is one of the coolest literary projects happening in the horror genre right now. In fact, short of Barker getting off his bum and giving us the goddamn third book of the Art, there isn't much else that could get me this excited!

Eyegore Awards Re-Named Chiller-Eyegore Awards

This October's Halloween Horror Nights will be given a little more distinction when it's tied into the Chiller-Eyegore Awards.
