Looks like not everyone was taking Christmas off out there in Hollywood-land, as two official sites launched right after the holiday.
This morning we showed you guys a viral video for The Unborn, but what we failed to mention was that you, too, can freak out your friends with a dire warning from a possessed girl!
One of the most dreadfully boring things that I can imagine is being stuck on a subway train. Nothing happens, no one talks to one another, and you rarely get updates from the operators. It’s just dullsville. But what if you throw some terror and murder into the mix? Now we’re talking excitement!
As a subtle reminder that Midnight Movie hits DVD in just one week (January 6th, to be specific), director Jack Messitt sent over a new stack of four shots from the film you won’t find anywhere else!
Sorry to ruin all the fun, but there's no use pretending this isn't a viral video to promote the upcoming release of David Goyer's The Unborn; you guys are way too smart for that, right? And since it references me specifically at one point, there's no way you'd think it was real...
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times; it was the age of remakes -- also known as the age of foolishness; it was the epoch of bad, it was the epoch of incredible; it was the season of fright, it was the season of dumb; it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair -- and man, did we have a lot of it; we had everything before us, we had nothing before us; some flicks took us directly to heaven, others took us the other way. The year was 2008, and it was pretty memorable.
Hey, a heads up for y’all; the official site for the After Dark Horrorfest III has been updated with preliminary theater listings with more set to be added every single day. So far the list isn’t bad; but I'm guessing by the time the 9th rolls around it’ll be huge.
The horror DVDs coming out on Tuesday, December 30th are the last small crop we’ll see for a while, I promise. Check ‘em out!
NECA sends new images to provide many a tease before February's Toy Fair event...not to mention New York Comic Con (where I might mention we will have a booth!) Among the killer shots of their Street Fighter 4 and Bionic Commando figures were three shots we thought you'd like the opportunity to drool over. Time to cover the keyboard.
I have to admit with a cheeserific title like Lesbian Vampire Killers I didn’t expect anything too great, but the trailer recently released by Momentum Pictures is pretty damn fun, all things considered. Don’t take my word for it, though; feast your eyes on it below!
Though there’s not a lot of meat to it yet, the ghouls over at STYD got their hands on the log line for Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer 2, which is currently in the scripting stages with director Jon Knautz and star Trevor Matthews penning the screenplay.
I guess the first bit of news that should be mentioned from AICN’s interview with Martyrs director Pascal Laugier is that an American remake of Martyrs is already in the works. It is, of course, not surprising in the least considering how well received the film has been since its festival debut, but it's a little disappointing nonetheless.
Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't we mere days away from the start of 2009? Isn't it a little late in the game to be producing blatant knock-offs of the Alien movies?
Any fan of Fulci who’s gone past his zombie/hell films has probably heard of A Cat in the Brain, the 1990 experiment in which Fulci stars as himself in a twisted tale of a filmmaker driven by his creations. It’s never been available in any decent format here in the U.S. but come March 31st, 2009, Grindhouse Releasing plans to change all that.
Want to kick off the 2009 with some old school ass kicking? Then you NEED to check out our bounty of images of the new Predator collectible figures!
