Lionsgate Spreading Xmas Fear with Silent Night, Deadly Night Box Set

I lost count of exactly how many Silent Night, Deadly Night films there were. Let's see ... there was the classic original flick that caused quite a stir. So much so that they barely filmed any original footage for its sequel Silent Night, Deadly Night 2 and things just sort of went batshit crazy from there. Bill Moseley was involved, there were brain pans, killer toys, Egyptian cults ... you name it. Lionsgate announced today that they will be bringing three of those crazy-ass sequels home in one shiny three-disc box set.

A few years ago Forest Whitaker won a Best Actor Oscar for his spellbinding performance as dictatorial mass murderer Idi Amin. Now he's starring opposite 50 Cent in the latest re-telling of Jekyll and Hyde. I'd roll my eyes, but the director is Abel Ferrara (Bad Lieutenant, Driller Killer, Ms. 45), someone who can be a cinematic Jekyll and Hyde in his own right.
