Saw VI TV Spot Shows Off New Footage

October. It's just in the air, man! Halloween candy, the smell of candles burning inside of freshly carved jack-o-lanterns, and the rotting entrails of several people who were unlucky enough to start playing one hell of a game. The TV spots have begun for Saw VI, and we have the first one for you right here laced with all new footage.

Hardware Blu-ray/DVD Preview

This is a freaking GREAT season for horror fans. It's true that every fall sees the release of some great genre titles, but with films like The Stepfather, Messiah of Evil (making its first non-budget DVD debut), and, of course, Hardware receiving quality releases, it's truly a cause for celebration. Night of the Living Dead in 3D Again?

Didn't we just get treated to a 3D remake of Night of the Living Dead a few years ago, and didn't it pretty much suck to high heaven? Here we are once again, and for the record George A. Romero has nothing to do with this production either. This time it's being produced by Simon West, director of the abysmal remake When a Stranger Calls and the equally atrocious Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.

Fox 2000 Readying The Passage for Ridley Scott

Normally the name Ridley Scott mentioned in the same sentence as the words "new vampire film" would have us giddy like a schoolgirl, but we're still busy celebrating the man's return to the Alien franchise! Yet, there is indeed life after Xenomorphs, and Fox 2000 is busy developing a project that would reunite the director with screenwriter John Logan, who worked with him on Gladiator.

Pet Sematary Director Developing a Case of Hydrophobia

Director Mary Lambert is leaving the Pet Sematary behind in lieu of some more oceanographic terrors. Seems she has developed a serious case of Hydrophobia, the title of a new chiller about a killer mermaid that can only be stopped by a man afraid of water. Think of it as the anti-Splash.

First Details: The Reef Shows its Teeth

Sharks are probably one of the scariest creatures on the planet. There's just no reasoning with them. You're not a person in their cold black eyes. You, just like everything else in their way, are simply lunch. Hell, depending on your size, maybe even just a snack! It's that very justified fear of these creatures that the filmmakers behind The Reef hope to tap into.
