Dread Central hit last night’s premiere at Screamfest LA of the much talked about (and sensationally denigrating) Tom Six-written and directed feature The Human Centipede: First Sequence (review here) in Hollywood, CA, and brought back some ocular candy and video of a pair of the film’s stars.

Where Was the New Twilight Saga: New Moon Footage at the Scream Awards?

Anyone who attended tonight's Scream Awards at the Greek Theatre in LA hoping to see Twilight co-stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart win in their respective categories or present new footage from New Moon left disappointed. But members of Team Jacob made out like bandits thanks to a win by Taylor Lautner for Best Male Break-out Performance and his return to the stage a short while later to accept for Twilight in the Best Fantasy Film category.

Though we've been talking about it for a couple of weeks, Derek Mears finally made it official at this year's Rock and Shock convention in Worcester, MA! He is totally confirmed to be on board for Predators!

Scream Awards Results As They Happen

Stan Helsing Takes It to the Streets!

October 23rd, the date when horror spoof Stan Helsing opens in a limited theatrical release (followed on DVD and Blu-ray a few short days thereafter on October 27th), is fast approaching. Anchor Bay has provided us with a pretty funny "man on the street" type interview video that should go a long way toward ensuring the film isn't forgotten in all the pre-Halloween excitement.

We heard from writer/director Christopher DiNunzio today that his film Livestock has been picked up for distribution by R-Squared Films with a DVD release date of November 10, 2009.

With no kids of my own, I really have no idea if It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown is appreciated by modern audiences or if it's just my generation that gathers around the TV each Halloween season to watch it one more time.
