Frontière(s) Returns

Last week we noticed that Xavier Gens' Frontière(s) went missing from After Dark Horror Fest's final roster of films that will start playing nationwide on November 9th. It was a pretty sad turn of events simply because the movie was about Neo-Nazis and extreme gore.

The Greatest Story Ever Toasted?

To say that the promo artwork that Charles Band has just unveiled for Gingerdead Man 2: Passion of the Crust (actual title, folks!) could be described as a case of bad taste would be both a bad pun and yet highly accurate. Good luck getting a DVD with that box art onto Blockbuster's shelves. If I may quote Homer Simpson: "Mmm ... Sacrilicious!"

Of course, it doesn’t hurt to have Guillemo del Toro behind you, either.

Lionsgate Teams With Sci Fi

I don’t get what the point of striking a deal now to air movies that are many years old on the Sci Fi Channel benefits anyone, but then I guess they’re better than what’s usually passing as entertainment on Sci Fi.

Sony is Biohazardous

I was sort of put off by the Resident Evil movies. Sure, I wasn't a big fan of the games but I knew the story lines and characters well enough to expect the same sort of thing to be carried over when the first feature was announced. And we all know what Paul W.S. Anderson can do to a beloved series when he makes a movie...

A Visit to the Set of Repo! The Genetic Opera!

Flying out to Canada at a moment’s notice is not something I’m accustomed to, still being fairly green to the whole movie industry press gig. When the films to be talked about are Saw IV (review) and Repo! The Genetic Opera, I throw my gear in a bag and take off without further prompting.
