Diary of the Dead Trailer!
All right, now we’re talking. Just got a heads up that the official trailer for George A. Romero’s Diary of the Dead (review) has finally hit online via the film’s MySpace page. Preceding it is a special message from the Zombie King himself announcing a contest for short filmmakers to win a chance to get their short on the DVD for Diary. Now that’s a great idea!

Hayek Signs Up for Freak
The cast for Cirque du Freak, the Paul Weitz-helmed adaptation of Darren Shan’s YA book series, just got a whole lot sexier. Not that I have anything against John C. Reilly (“Reily Vamps Out” – November 2007); Salma Hayek is just much easier on the eyes.
Reskin The Eye
If you’re a MySpace freak like seemingly half of the world’s population, chances are you’ve said to yourself at least once “self, how can I use my MySpace page to promote upcoming horror movies?”
The Lost Art, Theatrical Run
Good news for those of us have who’ve literally been waiting for years to finally see Chris (I Know Who Killed Me) Sivertson’s adaptation of Jack Ketchum's The Lost (review).
Cloverfield Monster Clip!
The first semi-clear look at the Cloverfield monster is finally online, and Daily Motion got it exclusively. Keep in mind, I said it’s semi clear, no big reveals here… but they’re right when they say “it’s alive, it’s huge!”. Check it out below! Cloverfield opens eveywhere on Friday, January 18th!

BioShock to the Big Screen?
Not that it would be surprising in the least, but a new rumor about BioShock coming to the big screen found its way onto Joystiq today. The popular 2K Games videogame is about the most amazing piece of cinematic gameplay I’ve been immersed in for a long time, so the thought of seeing it made into a movie is both exciting and terrifying at the same time.

WB Girl Joins Bind
A few days back we showed you the first poster for Bind ("Bind Poster Unbound" - December 2007"), a killer-in-the-woods throwback slasher from Upcoming Horror Movies maestro Dan Walton. Devon Sawa, Tony Todd and Ken Foree were some of the names attached, but what about the fairer sex?
More Host 2 Details
Now that it’s been confirmed over and over that yes, The Host 2 will be a prequel, more and more information is cropping up about it, specifically today from Sci Fi Japan, who got a look at the first conceptual sketch from the film.

8 DVDs to Die For
I am not sure if there will be another After Dark Horrorfest this year. While the idea is pretty awesome (having showings nationwide of horror films most people wouldn't see in theatres), there was just nothing very interesting in last year's selection.

First Look at Solomon Kane Poster!
Though I seriously doubt we’ll be seeing this poster in theaters anytime soon, today we got our hands on some concept art for Solomon Kane, which we last updated you on this morning. If the art is any indication they’re taking some liberties with Robert E. Howard’s story and giving it more of an action spin, but man the Van Helsing similarities are almost painful, aren't they? Keep it on Dread Central for more Solomon Kane news as we get it!

New Sisters Redux Trailer
You know, you’d think after Fangoria TV, the dudes and dudettes at the mag would have better video playback facilities… Anyway, today they got the first look at the brand-new trailer for Doug Buck’s Sisters, the remake of the Brian DePalma flick that Image Entertainment will be releasing on DVD on March 11th, 2008 (“Sisters DVD Art” – December 2007). Check out the new Sisters trailer here and get a taste of what you’re in for.
Crazy Horror in Indie Underbelly
A quick heads-up to indie filmmakers out there; it’s very hard to catch the interest of this staff with just an e-mail. I wouldn’t say we’re jaded so much as just sick of wasting time on films that turn out to be shite. When we do get an e-mail asking for some support, however, we always makes sure we read the whole thing and check out what there is about the movie, just in case. Correct spelling and punctuation can do wonders, by the way.
