The current trend of ’80s style slasher movies continues with Party Night (Kickstarter), which is about a group of teens who retreat to a secluded house after their high school prom, only for… well, you know the rest. Sunshine and rainbows there ain’t.
Synopsis:
Six friends become prey for a sadistic psychopath when they decide to ditch their high school’s after prom party for their own celebration at a secluded house.
To put it simply, Party Night is a slasher film for slasher fans made by slasher fans (that is simple, right?). And while this will be the first feature film produced by Fright Meter Films and Troy Escamilla, the passion for this project is immense. To sound cliched, it has been a dream for many years and we’ve spent far too many years expressing this dream rather than acting on it–so enough with the talk, it’s time for action!
