100 Feet

DVD Releases: Oct. 20, 2009: Stay 100 Feet Away from The Whistler or You'll Take a Wrong Turn

It looks like a week of just a few hits and mostly misses when it comes to DVD and Blu-ray releases, but as always, it's our job to keep you guys in the loop on what's coming, so head on in and see what you might want to add to your collection.

Scoop on the 100 Feet DVD

We've all been pretty excited to see Eric Red's tale of ghostly revenge 100 Feet, and now we can finally tell you how to do it and what to expect.

Date for 100 Feet Debut

A while back we reported that Eric Red’s first directorial effort in many years, 100 Feet, would be making its debut on the Sci-Fi Channel this spring instead of getting the theatrical release it more than likely deserves.

Art & Date for UK 100 Feet DVD

While we patiently wait for the Sci Fi Channel debut (groan) of Eric Red’s 100 Feet, UK fans will be getting it directly on DVD come March 2nd, 2009, courtesy of DNC Entertainment.

Mutant Chronicles, 100 Feet to Sci Fi

With the minor exception of Neil Marshall’s Dog Soldiers, a film making its premiere on the Sci Fi Channel is never a good sign. So I have to say I’m concerned that Eric Red’s return to horror, 100 Feet, has been resigned to that fate.

We missed this little Halloween treat yesterday but, as you can see by the amount of stories we did, it was about the only thing we missed. Man yesterday was nuts!

Full Film Lineup for Screamfest 2008!

This October 10th-19th will see the return of Screamfest to LA’s Grauman’s Chinese 6 Theater, and we’ve been giving you bits and pieces on it since the festival first started compiling its schedule of horror films. Well, no more piecemeal; it's time for the entire feast!

Lots of 100 Feet Goodies!

Those crazy bastards over at Arrow in the Head apparently don’t think a new trailer and poster are good enough for you guys. No, instead they got two new posters and a slew of trailers for Eric Red’s upcoming feature 100 Feet.

Plot Synopsis:

A young woman, Marnie Watson, is granted early release from her prison sentence for manslaughter (killing her husband - a violent NYC cop - in self defense) on condition she wear an electronic ankle bracelet and remain within her home, effectively under house arrest, for the remainder of her sentence. Her late husband's partner keeps tabs on her from a patrol car parked across the street, hoping she'll violate probation and he can send her back to prison. But the 100-foot radius her ankle bracelet allows isn't the worst of her problems.

Sick of remakes as much as we are? God, I hope so. For that reason alone we’re looking forward to Eric Red’s 100 Feet. The story helps a lot as well; yeah, this one can’t come soon enough.
