Forgotten ‘The Munsters’ Movie Is Now Free to Stream [Watch]

The Munsters could arguably be considered one of the first families of horror television. Since the original show premiered in September 1964, this campy and misunderstood brood has been a charming staple in the genre. As with most iconic properties, that leads to plenty of remakes, reboots, and one-off movies to give fans more time with their beloved characters.
We all know The Munsters have had many people attempt to resurrect the silly familial shenanigans. This has led to a pilot of a reboot, an animated special, a second show, and six movies. However, not all of these titles are easy to find in the age of streaming. Which is Here Come The Munsters hitting the official YouTube channel dedicated to The Munsters is big news.

The movie saw The Munsters relocate to Los Angeles after neighbors drive them out of Transylvania. This Fox Halloween special aired on Halloween in 1995. While it included cameos from the surviving original cast members, different actors played new versions of the beloved family from the classic sitcom.
The main cast changes saw Edward Herrmann as Herman Munster, Veronica Hamel as Lily Munster, Robert Morse as Grandpa, Christine Taylor as Marilyn Hyde, and Mathew Botuchis as Eddie Munster.
Here Come The Munsters was directed by Robert Ginty. The script was penned by Bill Prady, Jim Fisher, and Jim Staahl. It was based on characters created by Norm Liebmann and Ed Haas.
